The team

Members of the founding team are specialists within Geophysics and Geology, and are considered domain expert within; EM, rock physics, AVO analysis, quantitative seismic interpretation, reservoir geophysics, petroleum system analysis, sedimentology, seismic interpretation and data science. We have a long track record searching for and evaluating natural resources all over the world.

Ståle Emil Johansen

CEO & Co-founder

Dr. Scient., applied geophysics, Univ. of Oslo and Professor II, NTNU Trondheim

Ståle is professor of geophysics at NTNU. His main interest is interpretation of geophysical data and development of methodology for geophysical analysis. He also has a background from Equinor and Emgs and has been involved in many projects for commercialization of research results.

Tore Nordtømme Hansen

COO & Co-founder

Cand. Scient in applied Geophysics University of Tromsø

Tore has his Cand.Scient from the Unversity of Tromsø and is a seismic interpreter and explorationist.

Tore has a background from Fugro Geoteam and Fugro Multi Client Services (seismic acquisition and marketing) and Spring Energy and Tullow Oil (Exploration), and the recent years working as a Co-founder and entrepreneur.

Per Avseth

CTO & Co-founder

PhD in Geophysics, Stanford University, USA

Per has his PhD from Stanford University and is an expert in Rock-Physics, AVO analysis, and Quantitative Seismic Interpretation.

In addition to his academic career, Per has a background from Norsk Hydro and Tullow Oil, but also as a co-founder and entrepreneur.

Kristian Angard

Lead Petroleum System Analyst & Co-founder

Geologist. Cand. Scient, University of Oslo

Kristian is an expert in petroleum system analysis/basin modelling, seismic interpretation, prospect generation and evaluation risking and resource estimation workflow. He also has experience in License round applications, data room evaluations, technical coordination and evaluation in operated licenses.
